Archdiocese logo Reflections

We mourn and pray for Bishop Owen Dolan of the Diocese of Palmerston North, who died yesterday.

Bishop Owen spent most of his pastoral career in the Archdiocese. He was our Vicar General from 1981-1990. In addition, he was on the Archdiocesan Commission for Evangelisation, Justice & Development, and Chairman of the Senate of Priests.

Bishop Owen was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Palmerston North in 1995.

We pray eternal rest for Bishop Owen, and offer our prayers and sympathy to the priests and people of the Diocese of Palmerston North and his family. We also give thanks for his generous ministry as a priest and bishop.
